The author’s research interest in active experiential learning, brain training exercises, and career development provides the opportunity to extend the experience, and applying them into a classroom learning environment with children and adolescents. Self Enhanced Active Learning was conceived combining the essentials of brain training exercises, active experiential learning process, and metacognitive knowledge in teaching and learning. The ideation derived from the revised Bloom’s Taxonomy of Educational Objectives incorporating metacognitive knowledge and the revised Structure of the Cognitive Process Dimension of the Revised Taxonomy provides the framework of the New Education Paradigm.
