The idea of this publication originated from the requirement of exercise of First Year Landscape Architecture studio course to document and disseminate the knowledge of landscape appreciation through drawing and sketching. The basic skill of sketching is used to grasp the niche of transforming a 3-dimensional landscape into a 2-dimensional perspective drawing. The significant interest of each element in the storyboard shows the awareness of young designers to appreciate landscape and nature as well as history and culture of Malaysian city and town. The first edition of Malacca: Sketching Through Experience shows the studentsÂ’ esteem towards one of the oldest historical town in Malaysia as part to commemorate the historical background of the place.
